AltCoinTrader Easy Save Terms & Conditions

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
    1. Welcome to AltCoinTrader’s EasySave product. AltCoinTrader has taken every effort to ensure that our clients benefit from our Easy Save Account offering. We will strive to get great reward rates and provide a product that is easy to use and beneficial to our clients.
    2. Crypto Assets are not legal tender, they are not backed by any government, and the AltCoinTrader Easy Save account is not a bank account nor a brokerage account. Reward rates are subject to change and are largely dictated by market conditions. This is not a risk-free product and loss of principal is possible.
    3. By using the AltCoinTrader EasySave product you acknowledge to have read and understood the following terms and conditions in full and agree to comply with them and be bound by them in so far as they are legally enforceable. These Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”) apply, in addition to AltCoinTrader’s General Terms and Conditions.
    4. If any conflict, perceived or otherwise, is identified between these Terms and the General Terms and Conditions, the provisions of these Terms will prevail.
    5. By utilising AltCoinTrader’s EasySave Services, you unconditionally accept these Terms and agree to be bound by and act in accordance with them. You also accept and agree that you are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all laws, rules, regulations and requirements of the jurisdiction in which you live that may be applicable to your use of AltCoinTrader’s EasySave services, including but not limited to, those related to taxation, export or import activity, or foreign currency transactions.
  2. AMENDMENT OF TERMS
    1. AltCoinTrader specifically reserves the right to vary, change, update or in any other describable way, to alter these Terms from time to time without any prior notice to any user in its sole and unfettered discretion. When the Terms are so updated, they shall be posted to the appropriate portion of our Site and shall become immediately operable unless specified otherwise.
    2. Where amendments/changes to these Terms are likely to materially affect your rights and obligations we will either notify you via your registered email address or ensure that, when accessing the EasySave product, the updated terms will need to be accepted in order to proceed.
    3. The continued use of the EasySave site and products, after any amendment to these Terms, constitutes your acceptance of the Terms, as modified by such amendment. If you do not accept the Terms, or any amendment to them, you must immediately stop using the EasySave product and site/s.
  3. AltCoinTrader’s EasySave Services
    1. Staking is a process that allows you to participate in the functioning of a blockchain protocol by supporting the network's validation process. In order to stake, you are required to commit cryptocurrency to a blockchain “validator” in exchange for a share of the newly minted tokens/coins and/or transaction fees from that validator.
    2. When you use EasySave you agree to use AltCoinTrader’s staking wallet infrastructure and, by doing so, you are instructing AltCoinTrader to commit your cryptocurrency to a third-party validator. As a result, you will have the opportunity to participate in the validation of transactions, subject at all times to the applicable protocol rules.
    3. AltCoinTrader reserves the right to utilise third-party providers based on the assets that they support and other commercial considerations. You further instruct AltCoinTrader to facilitate any ancillary services which are necessary to the performance of the Staking Service.
    4. Rewards can be earned on selected cryptocurrencies and funds that are transferred into your AltCoinTrader EasySave Account. The EasySave Account provided by AltCoinTrader is a service whereby AltCoinTrader stakes the contents of your Easy Save Account on your behalf.
    5. No rewards will be paid on any cryptocurrency asset or funds unless the funds have been moved into the EasySave Account. AltCoinTrader, and its staff will not access your account nor respond to any instruction to move funds into your EasySave Account on your behalf, all funds need to be added to the EasySave Account by yourself.
    6. Rewards earned will be calculated annually and can be claimed every 3 hours into your spot wallet. Rewards earned will not be compounded however you may claim rewards and then add more funds to your initial capital investment.
    7. Reward rates are variable and can change without notice and will vary with each supported cryptocurrency. Rewards can only be claimed once a minimum of about R1 (one rand) has been earned per asset.
  4. OWNERSHIP OF STAKED CRYPTOCURRENCY
    1. Even though we use third-party validators to provide the Staking Services, your staked cryptocurrencies are not transferred to a third party. AltCoinTrader will continue holding these cryptoassets on your behalf and you remain the beneficial owner of your cryptocurrencies in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions.
  5. Risks
    1. Rewards are not guaranteed as AltCoinTrader will pay rewards on the basis that AltCoinTrader has received rewards or commission from the underlying protocols.
    2. Your crypto assets, that will be staked on your behalf are not insured or guaranteed. All crypto assets that are deposited in the EasySave Account are transferred at your own risk and there is risk of capital loss.
  6. FEES
    1. You acknowledge and agree that, as consideration for developing and making EasySave Services available to you, AltCoinTrader will earn fees payable by you. These fees are built into the reward rate that is offered to you.
  7. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
    1. While we will make all reasonable efforts to provide continuous operations, AltCoinTrader does not provide any warranty or guarantee in relation to the availability of EasySave and or the site.
  8. RESTRICTION, SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
    1. AltCoinTrader reserves the right to restrict, suspend or terminate EasySave Services without notice where:
      1. we reasonably suspect that your AltCoinTrader Account and/or the EasySave Services is the subject of an operational or other error, in which case we may be required to suspend the EasySave Services or access to your account until such time as the error is rectified;
      2. we reasonably suspect that your use of any of our services has been or is being used in relation to any unlawful, fraudulent or Prohibited Activity, or in breach of these Terms or our standard Terms and Conditions;
      3. your AltCoinTrader account is, or appears to be, the subject of any legal, regulatory or government process and/or we, in our sole discretion, consider there to be a heightened risk of legal or regulatory non-compliance;
      4. we are compelled to do so by a prima facie valid subpoena, court order, or other binding order of a government or regulatory authority; or
      5. your name appears on a government or international body sanctions list.
  9. DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
    1. The site or any information relayed through AltCoinTrader’s media channels must in no way be interpreted as financial advice. AltCoinTrader’s representatives do not provide financial advice and the information provided by AltCoinTrader is for general informational purposes only. All information on www.altcointrader.co.za or media channels is provided in good faith, however we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability or completeness of any information on www.altcointrader.co.za.
    2. The EasySave Services and any related products or services are offered on a strictly “as-is” and “where-available” basis and AltCoinTrader expressly disclaims, and you waive, all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the EasySave Services and any related products or services are offered without any warranty as to merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose.
    3. You acknowledge and agree that use of the EasySave Services is at your own risk. To the maximum extent allowed by law, AltCoinTrader, its affiliates and subsidiaries, its licensors, and their respective employees, contractors, agents, suppliers and vendors shall have no liability or responsibility whatsoever for any damages or loss - whether direct or indirect, consequential, incidental, punitive or otherwise - arising in connection with EasySave Services or any data or values relating thereto, whether arising out of negligence or otherwise. Without limiting any of the foregoing, in no event shall AltCoinTrader have any liability for any lost profits or indirect, punitive, special or consequential damages or losses, even if notified of the possibility thereof.
    4. The above limitations of liability shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction.
